Shaykh bin Baz: We hope there is no sin upon you. This is because you did not intend to single out this day for fasting; rather you only fasted this day because it was the day of Arafat. But if you would have fasted Thursday along with it, it would have been safer and less doubtful. This is because the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم prohibited singling out Friday for fasting as it relates to the one observing and optional fast. And you were observing an optional fast. Therefore if you would have fasted Thursday along with it, with would have been safer and less doubtful even if your intention was to fast because it was Arafat. But for the believer to investigate so he can be in agreement with the commands of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is safer and less doubtful. As for fasting (Friday) intending to do so because it is a virtuous day, then this is not permissible because the Messenger prohibited that. But if you fast this day because it is the day of Arafat then we hope there will be nothing upon you. But if the person takes precaution and fast on Thursday along with Friday, this will be safer. One story is of Musa (as) When the magicians realised that Musa (as) wasn't performing magic but rather it was a miracle from Allah, they proclaimed, "We believe in the Lord of the 'Alamin" This made Fir'aun very angry, and he said: "You have believed in him [Musa] before I give you permission..." The firaun warned the magicians that if they didn't take back their words, they would be tortured. They didn't change their minds and so he cut off their feet and hands and then killed them. Allah told Musa (AS) to warn Fir'aun that He would punish him and his people if they continued in their ways. But Fir'aun was too proud to listen to the warning. What an arrogant, arrogant man! Dann lies weiter... Die Sure Al Fatiha (Eröffnungssure) ist die mächtigste Sure im Quran. Der Beweis dafür finden wir in einer Überlieferung von: Abu Sa'id ibn Al Mu'alla (ra) berichtete, daß der Gesandte Allahs (salallahu aleyhi wa sallam) während er nach meiner Hand griff, als wir hinausgehen wollten, zu mir sagte: „Soll ich dir nicht, ehe du aus der Moschee gehst, die mächtigste Sure im Quran lehren?" Durch die Gebete die wir verrichten verging eine Weile, dann fragte ich: „O Gesandter Allahs (salallahu aleyhi wa sallam) Du hast gesagt, daß du mir die mächtigste Sure lehren wirst!" Er (salallahu aleyhi wa sallam) sagte: „Al Fatiha" ist es. Es sind die sieben Mathani (oft rezitierten Verse) und das Wesentliche des mir offenbarten Quran." (Al Bukhari) Al Hafith im Fath sagte: „Mit der mächtigsten Sure ist gemeint, daß man beim lesen die gewaltigste Belohnung erhält, obwohl andere Suren länger als sie sind. Sie ist die meist rezitierte Sure am Tag und in der Nacht, da die Diener Allahs sie bei jedem Gebet rezitieren müssen und das Gebet der beste Gottesdienst ist, wird das Beste zum Besten gefügt." Allah verpflichtet jeden Muslim sie mindestens 17-mal am Tag zu rezitieren (5 Pflichtgebete). Der Gesandte Allahs (salallahu aleyhi wa sallam) sagte: „Kein Gebet für den, der keine Fatiha ließt" (Muslim N(r.a.) 394) Ein Gelehrter sagte: Wenn man die Sure Al Fatiha, deren Anzahl ihrer Buchstaben 122 sind, lautlos liest erhält man (122 x 10) 1220 gute Taten dafür, da man für jeden Buchstaben der gelesen wird das 10-fache an guten Taten erhält. Wenn man sie beispielsweise 6 mal liest, erhält man in seinem gute Tatenakte 7320 gute Taten gutgeschrieben" Der Gesandte Allahs (salallahu aleyhi wa sallam) sagte: „Wer einen Buchstaben aus Allahs Buch liest, bekommt eine gute Tat aufgeschrieben und diese Tat wird 10-fach belohnt. Ich sage nicht Alif, Lam und Mim ist ein Buchstabe, sonder Alif ist ein, Lam ist ein und Mim ist ein Buchstabe."
