"Können Sie jetzt mal die Backen halten?!" ... ... "Hier klatschen immer die gleichen 3, 4 Menschen, ich weiß nicht, ob Sie die mitgebracht haben." ... ... "Das ist ein bühnenreifer Auftritt, ein Schauspiel, gut gemacht." Derartige Aussagen erwartet man nicht in einer seriösen Talkrunde bei ARD, und so war auch ich von der Niveaulosigkeit dieser Aussagen überrascht und enttäuscht. Würde man sich eine solche Respektlosigkeit auch gegen einen Pfarrer oder Rabbiner erlauben? Erhofft hatte ich eine Talkrunde, in der echter Austausch und Aufklärung möglich sind, musste dann jedoch erkennen, dass ich nicht als gleichwertiger Gesprächspartner, sondern lediglich als Werkzeug eingeladen war, das als Projektionsfläche aller Vorbehalte dienen sollte. Meine Versuche, Klarheit zu schaffen und deutlich zu äußern, dass ich kein Salafist bin, dass ich gegen die Radikalisierung arbeite, dass ich in mehreren Gesprächen versucht habe, Dennis Cuspert von dem radikalen Weg abzubringen, dass ich das Grundgesetz respektiere und nicht die Einführung der Scharia in Deutschland anstrebe, dass ich ISIS verurteile und gegen Antisemitismus sowie gegen jegliche Art von Hass und Gewalt gegenüber Menschen anderer Religion, sexueller Orientierung usw. bin, ... - all diese Versuche wurden entweder unterbrochen, unterbunden oder als heuchlerisch dargestellt. Wieder und wieder werden Unterstellungen vorgebracht, ich sei Hassprediger, doch findet sich unter den Hunderten Videos bei youtube offensichtlich keine einzige Hasspredigt, die als Beweis angeführt werden könnte. Stattdessen wird ein Ausschnitt aus einem 12 Jahre alten Video gezeigt, in dem ich über die Ehe im Islam spreche. Einmal mehr bewegt man sich damit weit außerhalb des Themas der Sendung "Gewalt im Namen Allahs - was denken unsere Muslime?". Gern hätte ich darüber gesprochen, warum sich Jugendliche der irregehenden Ideologie von Radikalen anschließen und was wir dagegen tun können, doch stattdessen sah ich mich mehr und mehr in die Rolle gedrängt, mich gegen falsche persönlich auf mich bezogene Vorwürfe zu verteidigen. "Was denken unsere Muslime?" – dass das Interesse an der Sicht der Muslime groß ist, den Eindruck hatte ich in der Sendung nicht. Diejenigen, die aber tatsächliches Interesse haben und offen für ein sinnvolles Gespräch sind, seien herzlich eingeladen, zu einem konstruktiven Gedankenaustausch zusammenzukommen.
