Sie haben LA ILA HE IL ALLAH verstanden, geliebt und in Taten umgesetzt! Deswegen gab Allah ihnen die Kraft den Islam Weltweit zu verbreiten. Es waren nur wenige tausen Sahaba. On Oct. 27, 2008, American military helicopters swooped into eastern Syria and attacked a Syrian-Iraqi border crossing point controlled by ISIL's predecessor organization, al Qaeda in Iraq. Defense Department officials called it "taking matters into our own hands" at a time when the top U.S. commander in Anbar Province assessed that al Qaeda was living "pretty openly on the Syrian side" with the blessing of Syrian authorities. Al Qaeda in Iraq's fortunes declined in the years that followed. What Americans must realize now is that these declining fortunes posed a severe problem for a certain neighboring dictator: Bashar al-Assad. Assad found these terrorists useful because they scared Westerners into tolerating, if not partnering with him, for fear of what would come next. When a pro-democracy movement emerged, Assad therefore felt an urgent need to resurrect the terrorist bogeyman. Syria's pro-democracy protests featured a chant that Syrians were "One, one, one" regardless of sect or ethnicity. Yet just two weeks into the protests, Assad declared an amnesty for 260 political prisoners from Saydnaya Prison, which is notorious for housing radical Islamists. Meanwhile, detained pro-democracy protesters who had shouted "One, one, one" were subjected to horrific tortures on such a large and systematic scale that they drew comparisons to the Nazi death camps. After armed conflict began in Syria, Assad was quite gracious to al Qaeda for someone who had slaughtered tens of thousands of civilians in the name of "fighting terror." So Syrian rebels took matters into their own hands. In January 2014, they initiated a "second revolution" against ISIL that routed the group from northwestern Syria. Assad responded by subjecting the newly ISIL-free areas to the fiercest bombardments of the entire war while leaving ISIL headquarters untouched. This month, rebels east of the capital Damascus encountered a similar fate after they drove ISIL from their areas. Assad's record presents clear evidence: If his regime somehow survives the current conflict, ISIL will mysteriously regenerate itself while Assad approvingly observes. Unless the United States wants to be striking ISIL in Syria yet again in another five to 10 years, America should hit Assad now. So sind die Kurden aus der Türkei die Einzigen, die Kämpfer nach Syrien hinüberschicken. Zwischen 300 und 1.000 sollen es in den letzten Tagen, als die Grenze offen war, gewesen sein.
