Abū Dāwūd überlieferte folgendes im Kapitel: „Das Kapitel über jemand, der seinen Sitzplatz verlässt und zurückkehrt, d.h. dass er gegenüber einem anderen das Anrecht darauf besitzt." z.B.: Man hält sich in der Moschee auf und zum Wassertrinken steht man auf oder zum Holen eines Qurʾāns (wörtl. mushaf), so hat er bzgl. seines Sitzplatzes das Anrecht gegenüber jemand anderes; denn es ist selbstverständlich(, dass man hierfür seinen Platz verlassen muss). Er hat also mehr Anrecht darauf. Und genauso verhält es sich in einer Sitzung, wenn man aufsteht, um etwas zu holen oder um eine Angelegenheit zu erledigen, so hat er (weiterhin) das Anrecht darauf. Wenn er aber hinausgeht, die Leute verabschiedete und sie sich hinsetzten, sodann zurückkehrt, gilt er wie jemand, der gerade erst neu hineingekommen ist. Wenn er jedoch aufgestanden ist um beispielsweise jemanden zu empfangen oder zu begrüßen oder um sich in der Sitzung mit jemand zu treffen und währenddessen ein weiterer sich auf diesen Platz hinsetzt, so ist genau das, worüber ein Verbot existiert und das Anrecht auf diesen Sitzplatz gebührt dem, der da saß. Wenn er jedoch saß, dann aufstand und den Ort verließ und sich vom Ort entfernte, sodann die Leute sich hinsetzen, entfällt sein Anrecht und sein Zustand gleicht dann jemanden, der neu hineinkommt.
