Âdile Sulṭân's Mutter (Zernigar Sulṭân) starb als sie noch ein kleines Mädchen war. Sie wurde an eine Frau anvertraut (Nevfidan Kadınefendi), welche selber ihre Kinder verloren hatte, und erziehte sie, wie ihre eigene Tochter. Sie erhielt umfassende Bildung im Serail, besonders im Bereich Kalligraphie entwickeltete sie sich besonders weiter. Mit 19 heiratete sie den Oberbefehlshaber Marine (Kapudan-ı Deryâ) >>Meḥmed Ali Paşa<<, der besonders für seine Schönheit bekannt war. Das Leben von Âdile Sulṭân war voller Trauer. Aus der Ehe mit Meḥmed Ali Paşa gingen 3 Kinder hervor, von denen 2 im Kinderbett starben. Nachdem ihr Mann verstorben ist, verlor sie auch ihre (frisch verheiratete) Tochter Hayriye Sulṭân nach nur 2 Jahren. Nach einer tiefen Depression, ging sie zur Naqšibandiorden, (in die Bâlâ Tekke, zu Sheikh Ali Efendi) und verbrachte ihr restliches Leben mit 'İbâda (gottesdienstliche Verrichtung). Besonders bekannt war Âdile Sulṭân für ihre Frömmigkeit, Präzision und Nächstenliebe, weshalb sie während ihrer gesamten Lebensdauer respektiert wurde. Sie ließ Schulen und Armenhäuser restaurieren, sorgte dafür, dass Kinder aus armen Verhältnisen die Schule besuchen konnten, ließ für Mädchen im heiratsfähigen Alter Brautausstattung und Mitgift (Çeyiz hazırlattırmak) machen, ließ Wasser für vertrocknete Brunnen bringen, und sammelte Waise- und aus aus ärmlichen Verhältnissen stammende Mädchen in dem Palast, in denen sie Unterricht bekamen. Die meisten dieser Mädchen wurden später mit Staatsmännern, und Şehzâde (Prinzen) verheiratet. Âdile Sulṭân war die erste Frau im 'os̲mânischen Reich, die einen "Dîvân" veröffentlichte und engagierte sich für die Veröffentlichung der Gedichtesammlung von Sulṭân Ḳânûnî Suleymân-ı Evvel (I.). Âdile Sulṭân war eine Dichterin, die nicht so erfolgreich war wie ihre Zeitgenossinnen Leylâ und Fıtnat Hanım.
