Die Menschen sind wahrlich im Verlust; außer denjenigen, die glauben und gute Werke tun und sich gegenseitig die Wahrheit ans Herz legen und sich gegenseitig zur Geduld anhalten" Ibn Yakub erklärt, dass diese Sura ausgezeichnet ist, um den Islam und die dazugehörigen Verständisse in wenigen Worten vollständig wiederzugeben. In dieser Sura wird der Mensch dazu aufgefordert, sich zu fragen, wozu ihm die Zeit gegeben wurde und was der Sinn des Lebens ist. Dabei warnt Allah swt. den Menschen. Der Mensch, der sich nicht die Kernfragen des Lebens stellt, wird ein verlustreiches Leben führen, und zwar im Diesseits und Jenseits.
