Sag: "Allah belehrt euch über den Erbanteil seitlicher Verwandtschaft. Wenn ein Mann umkommt, der keine Kinder hat, aber eine Schwester, dann steht ihr die Hälfte dessen zu, was er hinterläßt. Und er beerbt sie, wenn sie keine Kinder hat. Und wenn es zwei (Schwestern) sind, stehen ihnen (beiden) zwei Drittel dessen zu, was er hinterläßt. Und wenn es Geschwister sind, Männer und Frauen, dann kommt einem männlichen Geschlechts ebensoviel zu wie der Anteil von zwei weiblichen Geschlechts. Allah gibt euch Klarheit, damit ihr (nicht) in die Irre geht. Allah weiß über alles Bescheid.
