Antwort: Maßstab ist, dass derjenige, der nachahmt, das nachahmt, was den Nachgeahmten kennzeichnet. Ungläubige nachzuahmen heißt, dass ein Muslim etwas tut, was diese im Besonderen kennzeichnet. Was unter den Muslimen auftritt und kein Kennzeichen der Ungläubigen ist, ist keine Nachahmung und allein aufgrund der Ähnlichkeit nicht verboten. Außer es ist von einem anderen Gesichtspunkt her verboten. Das, was wir wir hier sagten, ist die notwendige Bedeutung dieses Wortes. Der Autor des Werkes Al-Fath sprach Ähnliches klar und deutlich aus (Band 10, S. 272): "Einige der frommen Vorfahren hassten es, einen Burnus (Mantel mit Kapuze) zu tragen, weil auch die Mönche ihn trugen. Als Malik dazu befragt wurde, sagte er: "Es ist dagegen nichts einzuwenden." Es wurde gesagt: "Es ist aber die Kleidung, die die Christen tragen." Er sagte: "Sie wurde hier getragen." Hätte Malik sich nach der Aussage des Propheten صلى الله عليه وسلم gerichtet, als dieser gefragt wurde, welche Kleidung verboten ist und er sagte: "Tragt kein Hemd, keine Hose und keinen Burnus.", so wäre dies besser gewesen. In Al-Fath heißt es ebenso in Band 1, Seite 307: "Wenn wir sagen, dass davon abzuraten ist (d. h. vom Tragen eines lilafarbenen Überwurfes), wegen der daraus entstehenden Ähnlichkeit mit den Nichtarabern, dann bedeutet dies einen religiösen Nutzen. Diese Kleidung war jedoch ein Kennzeichen für Sie, als sie noch Ungläubige waren. Dann aber, als sie auf ihren religiösen Ritus nicht mehr bestanden ist diese Bedeutung verschwunden und somit auch die Ablehnung dieser Kleidung." Allah aber weiß am besten.
