Ich stieg hinauf zur Kabah, dort war eine Götze (Statur) aus Gold oder Kupfer. Ich begann an der Statur zu rütteln; - von seiner Rechten, von seiner Linken, von Vorne und von Hinten,- als ich fähig war, sie umzuwerfen, sagte der Gesandte Allahs s-Allah-aws: 'Schmeiße sie herunter!' Und so warf ich die Statur herunter und sie zerschlug, wie Flaschen zerschlagen. Dann stieg ich wieder hinab.
