Sie kam zum Propheten (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) gab ihre Schuld zu und sagte: "Oh Gesandter Allahs, ich habe eine schwere Sünde begangen. Bestrafe mich also dementsprechend." Der Prophet (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) ließ ihren Vormund kommen und sagte zu ihm: "Behandle sie gut, und bringe sie wieder zu mir, wenn sie entbunden hat." Der Vormund führte die Anweisungen durch und brachte sie zurück zum Propheten (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam), der das Urteil sprach und ihre Hinrichtung anordnete. Man band daher ihre Kleider um ihren Körper fest und sie wurde zu Tode gesteinigt. Danach leitete der Prophet (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) ihr Begräbnisgebet. Umar bemerkte sodann: "Oh Prophet Allahs (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam)! Sie ist eine Ehebrecherin und du leitest ihr Begräbnisgebet?" Der Prophet (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) sagte: "Sie hat in so einem Maß bereut, dass, wenn diese Reue auf siebzig Personen aus Medina verteilt würde, sie für alle ausgereicht hätte. Gibt es etwas besseres, als dass sie sich selbst für Allah, den Allmächtigen und Erhabenen, aufgeopfert hat?"
