Austrocknung. Wir alle haben verstanden, dass es in Tansania, sowie in anderen Teilen der Erde, Menschen gibt, die ohne sauberes Trinkwasser leben müssen. Wir haben verstanden, dass wir helfen müssen, damit diese Menschen überleben können. Aber fühlen wir doch mal mit. Was geschieht im Körper wenn wir zu wenig Flüssigkeit in uns haben? Die klassischen Symptome sind da Kopfschmerzen, Schwindel, Müdigkeit, Herzrasen. Es kommt auch zu Verwirrtheit, Übelkeit, Muskelkrämpfen, Ohnmacht oder Fieber. Grund dafür ist, dass unser Körper übersäuert Die Schäden, die im Körper bei langen Flüssigkeitsmangel entstehen sind enorm. Zwei Dinge finden im Körper statt. Zum einen eine "Vergiftung" des Körpers, da die entgiftenden Organe wie Leber und Nieren Wasser zum Verarbeiten der diversen Giftstoffe brauchen. Zum zweiten findet eine Unterversorgung der Vitalorgane (Gehirn, Herz, Lunge) sowie aller weiteren Organe statt. Das Blut verdickt sich zunehmend mit fehlender Flüssigkeit. Somit werden die Funktionen der Organe zwangsläufig soweit herunter gefahren bis ein komplettes Organversagen einsetzt. Meist beginnt die mit dem Nierenversagen, was oftmals durch eine mehr oder minder starke Verfärbungen von Haut und Augapfel ersichtlich ist.
