Der riesige Unterschied zwischen uns und den Sahaba (radiallahu anhum) ist, dass sie den Islam auf den Kopf und die Dunya in der Hand hatten. Wackelte der Islam auch nur um Millimeter liessen sie die Dunya fallen um den Islam fest zu halten.

This week at the dawah stall in Birmingham sisters discussed the debate regarding niqab and addressed some of the common held misconceptions.
Sisters explained that the attack on the niqab as being a symbol of oppression on women was baseless and unfounded. It wasn't Islam that allows women bodies to be exploited for advertising or pornography under freedom of expression or only give her value based on her attractiveness to men!
Islam regards women with honour and dignity and prohibits her from exploitation and being used as sexual object. Women are not viewed as inferior beings but rather valued as equal human beings in society.
Sisters spoke about how the debate on niqab was fuelling Islamaphobia and causing tensions between communities. Many sisters blamed the sensational reporting by the media and irresponsible statements by politicians for the negative perceptions on the niqab. Sisters felt that the national attention been given to a garment worn by a minority of women was nothing more than a cheap tactic to win political points amongst the far right communities. This is at a time when there are so many economic/ social problems that need attention.
Sisters discussed how the call to ban the niqab proves that the west has lost its intellectual argument for its way if life. They have failed to convince the Muslim women to abandon her hijab and adopt their way if life. Thus, the call to ban it is last resort to stop women from embracing Islamic values and way of life.
The sisters reminded how in times of such test we must take strength from Islam . We must not resort to using principles of freedom and human rights that are man made and subject to change as a basis for debate. As Muslims we must stick to the principles and values of Islam to defend our deen.
We must present a united attack by showing fallacy of women's liberation in west and show how Islam raises the status of women. It is only by standing for Islam and explaining the true values of Islam that we can help dispel the misconceptions about the niqab and defend our deen against the lies being brandished by media and politicians .

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم :
[كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمُ الأَنْبِيَاءُ كُلَّمَا هَلَكَ نَبِىٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِىٌّ وَإِنَّهُ
لاَ نَبِىَّ بَعْدِى وَسَتَكُونُ خُلَفَاءُ يَكْثُرُونَ ». قَالُوا : فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ
فُوا بِبَيْعَةِ الأَوَّلِ فَالأَوَّلِ وَأَعْطُوهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَائِلُهُمْ عَمَّنِ اسْتَرْعَاهُمْ ]
رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِىّ وَمُسْلِمٌ.
إن السياسة عمل الأنبياء ومن خلفهم في حكم المسلمين ورعاية شؤونهم.
فقد كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سياسيا وكذلك خلفاؤه رضي الله عنهم.
أي كان صلى الله عليه وسلم راعيا لشؤون الناس بما أنزل الله إليه ،
