    لقد كان من قوة النفوذ الأمريكي في الاجتماع، وثقل ضغطها، ومدى خضوع الجربا لتلك القوة ولذلك الضغط، أنه لم يتحمَّل اعتراض الممثل العسكري في الائتلاف فصفعه على طريقة شبيحة بشار وجميع الطغاة، وهذا قبل أن يرى الجربا حُكما أو شيئاً من حُكم! ثم إن بعض المؤتلفين طلب مشاورة القوى في الداخل السوري قبل اتخاذ القرار فرفض فورد وألزمهم باتخاذ قرار المشاركة، ثم يشاورون الداخل بعد ذلك، أي بعد أن يكون القرار قد اتخذ، حتى يفقد الداخل أي تأثير في اتخاذ القرار لأن أمريكا تعلم أن كثيراً من قوى الداخل حرة كريمة تنأى بنفسها عن الخضوع والخنوع لأمريكا وعملائها...
