Bill Mckean 2010 mid Term Elections, and the Rise of the Tea Party After the 2008 election of President Barack Obama, the United States saw a dramatic political tide change to the far right. This change of ideology played out in the 2010 midterm elections, where the far right wing of the Republican Party won huge victories in the House of Representatives. These victories were in large part due to Tea Party groups, and funding from a hand full of billionaires, with support from the right wing media. This paper will cover the 2010 midterm elections, and discuss how the Tea Party gained such momentum. The groundwork for the Tea Party had already been laid out well over thirty years beforehand, with the signing of the 1964 civil rights act. Once this act was signed, and several Democrats voted in favor of it, the Democratic, and Republican parties began to realign. With the Southern states now voting heavily Republican, the Republican Party shifted more to the right, and in favor of states' rights. For the purposes of this paper, the terms right wing, and Right side are in reference to conservative Ideology. Conserve ideology is a belief in very limited government, low taxes, low government spending, and high emphasis on defense spending, limiting rights to women, and minorities, and pushing Christianity, with the exception of helping the poor. In 1980, the effects of the realignment culminated with the election of Ronald Reagan. The first affect this had was that he solidified the South for the Republican Party. That is to say, even though the parties had realigned, the Southern states were still voting democrat in local elections and Republican in federal elections. After the Reagan administration, the southern states were solidly Republican. The biggest impact Reagan had was his idea on the role of government. He felt that government was not the solution, but rather the cause of problems. It was this message of limiting government, and cutting taxes that resonated with his base, and laid out the platform for what is today's Tea Party. The Reagan administration had such a large impact on pushing the county on a path to limited government, President Clinton, a Democrat was quoted as saying "the era of big government is over" . It was not until the administration of President George W Bush that big government spending took hold again. President Clinton had realized that we, as a nation had become so conservative, that the only way a Democrat would be elected in to the Presidency is by pushing the party to the right. During his time in office, the U.S treasury had a surplus, and the national debt was actually shrinking. In order to balance the budget, President Clinton agreed to push several welfare programs off to the states, rather than maintaining them at the federal level. During his eight years in office, President Bush waged two wars, expanded Medicare, and made drastic tax cuts. This combination of spending, and lack of revenue ran up the national debt to outrageous proportions. In addition to this, at the end of his final term, the economy saw the largest crash since the great depression. These are the conditions that set the stage for two things. First, the American people saw the need for a change in leadership, bringing in President Barack Obama. The next is the push for conservatives to move farther to the right, and closer to what they believed to be true conservatism. Once President Obama was elected, his first order of business was to bail out the economy. In order to do this, he asked for a sizeable stimulus package that would inject money in to the economy. The right wing news media portrayed this as reckless overspending. A push for austerity, and belt tightening began to take hold, and was embraced, especially by the southern states. On January 21, 2010, the tea party, and Americans for prosperity got some help from the Supreme Court. In CITIZENS UNITED v. FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations, have the same right to free speech as people. Because of this, corporations, and people are allowed to donate unlimited amounts of money to 501c4 organizations. Since billionaires are no longer limited to the amount of money they can donate to super pacs, the Koch brothers, and their Americans for Prosperity super pac were unstoppable in 2010. This influx of money gave a huge advantage to the GOP during the 2010 midterm elections. The results of this was a tidal wave of tea party conservatives taking the House of Representatives. The Tea Party is in reference to the Boston Tea Party, in which American patriots threw tea in to the Boston harbor, in protest of The British tea tax. Tea party is also an acronym for Taxed Enough Already. In the conservative media, this organization is portrayed as a grass roots movement, however that is not exactly the case. The Tea Party was actually started by a group called "Americans for Prosperity", which a super pac is set up by the billionaire kock brothers. Originally, the Tea Party was formed, and focused on keeping taxes low. However, as time went on, the party quickly evolved in to a more ambitious organization. Candidates supported by the party are supporting shutting the government down, closing abortion clinics, limiting voting rights, and several other egregious legislative measures on the poor and minorities. http://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/08-205.ZS.html

الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على أشرف المرسلين، نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين وبعد: مشروع وحملة اقرأ لتوزيع ترجمة القرآن في أوربا مجانا Lies! Keistimewaan penduduk Madinah Barang siapa mengganggu penduduk Madinah, nescaya Allah akan mengganggunya dan baginya laknat Allah, para Malaikat serta manusia semuanya; amal sunat dan amal fardhunya tidak akan diterima (oleh Allah) Riwayat Thabrani Sebelum kelahiran nabi Muhammad s.a.w orang Yahudi telah mengancam penduduk Madinah dengan mengatakan akan lahir nabi akhir zaman yang akan bersama mereka (Yahudi). Setelah kelahiran nabi di Mekah, orang Madinah pergi ke Mekah untuk mengerjakan haji (secara jahiliyah). Mereka kemudiannya bertemu Nabi dan memeluk Islam. Mereka mengajak Nabi ke Madinah untuk mengembangkan Islam dan berjanji akan membantunya. Namun seorang Nabi tidak boleh lari dari kawasan dakwahnya. Sehinggalah turun perintah supaya Nabi hijrah dari Mekah ke Madinah. Semasa hijrah, para sahabat cuma keluar sehelai sepinggang untuk mengelakkan di kesan kafir Mekah. Kafir Mekah menghalang Nabi keluar kerana mereka bimbang pengaruhnya semakin kuat. Sayyidina Ali adalah orang terakhir keluar kerana beliau terpaksa menyerahkan barang-barang penduduk Mekah yang diamanahkan kepada nabi. Walaupun kafir mekah tidak percaya kerasulan Nabi tetapi mereka percaya akan amanahnya Nabi. Kerana itu Nabi digelar Al-Amin. Semasa keluar dari Mekah, Nabi menaiki unta yang ditunggang bersama Sayyidina Abu Bakar. Ditengah perjalanan mereka disekat oleh kafir Mekah yang bertanya kepada Sayyidina Abu Bakar, "siapa lelaki di belakang kamu?" Abu Bakar tidak boleh beritahu nabi berada di belakang dan tidak juga boleh berbohong. Maka katanya "Inilah lelaki yang menunjukkanku jalan". Sebenarnya jalan yang dimaksudkan Sayyidina Abu Bakar ialah jalan agama Islam. Penduduk Madinah telah membantu Nabi dan para sahabat yang berhijrah (Muhajirin - Refugee). Kerana itu mereka digelar Ansar (pembantu). Rasulullah sangat sayangkan mereka. Pengorbanan dan jasa mereka juga dicatat dalam Al-Quran yang dibaca hingga Kiamat. Hasyr [9] Dan orang-orang (Ansar) yang mendiami negeri (Madinah) serta beriman sebelum mereka, mengasihi orang-orang yang berhijrah ke negeri mereka dan tidak ada pula dalam hati mereka perasaan berhajatkan apa yang telah diberi kepada orang-orang yang berhijrah itu dan mereka juga mengutamakan orang-orang yang berhijrah itu lebih daripada diri mereka sendiri, sekalipun mereka dalam keadaan kekurangan dan amat berhajat dan (ingatlah), sesiapa yang menjaga serta memelihara dirinya daripada dipengaruhi oleh tabiat bakhilnya, maka merekalah orang-orang yang berjaya.

Egyptian Blast Raises Fears of Growing Terrorist Threat Wall Street Journal (12/27/13) El-Ghobashy, Tamer; Elmergawi, Leila; Bradley, Matt A bomb blast near a municipal bus in Cairo on Thursday has sparked renewed fear that the deepening political polarization in Egypt is driving terrorism and pushing the insurgent battlefront from remote and sparsely populated areas into the densely populated heartland. Though Egypt's government did not assign blame for this attack, it did blame the Muslim Brotherhood for a bombing in Mansoura on Tuesday. However, the government has yet to provide any evidence that the Brotherhood was involved in the Mansoura bombing. The Brotherhood has denied that it was responsible for the attack in Mansoura, while the al-Qaida inspired group known as Ansar Bait Al-Maqdis has claimed responsibility for the Cairo attack. The government has also labeled the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization and has launched a crackdown on the once-powerful group. The country has been deeply divided since the July ouster of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi by the military. Morsi, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, many of the group's top leaders and some 1,000 other members are currently in jail in Egypt. The group's designation as a terrorist organization seems designed to allow the government to target the remaining supporters of the group, and has already resulted in the arrest of 20 Brotherhood sympathizers.
