Allah is ultimately the only one worthy of praise for who else enlightened us with existence and consciousness after we were nothing worth of mention

Ibn 'Aashur wrote: The meaning then would be: will every living man admit to having been nonexistent for a long period of time when he was not known, mentioned or thought about.
And who else maintains our material life by the grace of air, the blessing of nourishment and the mercy of the mind and sustains our souls with the beauty to be found in the signs spread in the universe and gathered in His book.
Najm 01: By the star as it fell.
May he praised as He deserves to be praised for eternity, we do not know enough to approach his due gratitude, even the best of us all, the man who was elevated to the tree of the end (Sidrat Al-Muntahaa) and beyond will be given knowledge of unprecedented Hamd and uncharted Shukr on the day of judgement as he would prostrate under the throne of The Most High.
May Allah send his blessings and salutations upon his servant and messenger Muhammad, his pure family and his noble companions and may He honour him and them as He sees fit.

Introduction:
هَذَا بَلَاغٌ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيُنْذَرُوا بِهِ وَلِيَعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ
Ibrahim 52: This (Qur'an) is a Message for mankind (and a clear proof against them), in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is the only One Ilaah (God - Allah) -and that men of understanding may take heed (that none have the right to be worshipped except Allah)
فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
Muhammad 19: So know (O Muhammad SAW) that La Ilaaha Illa Allah
The prophet said (as in Muslim): Whoever dies while knowing that Laa Ilaaha Illa Allah shall enter Jannah.
It had occurred to me to use the old form of teaching through questions and answers.
This method was used by Jebreel –peace be upon him- as a method to teach the Sahaaba.
At the end of his famous Hadeeth the prophet attributed the teaching to Jebreel even if his role only included asking the right questions.
In Bukharey and Muslim the prophet said: It is Jebreel who came to teach the people their Deen.
In Masaabeeh Assunnah by Baghawey: It is Jebreel who came to teach you the matter of your Deen.
In the rewaaya of Suleiman Attameemey the prophet said: It is Jebreel who came to teach you your Deen, take from him.
In a narration in Muslim the prophet said: This is Jebreel who wanted you to learn as you did not ask.
'Ali Ibn Abee Taalib said: knowledge is a locked treasure and its key is in asking questions, thus, ask may Allah have mercy on you, for a righteous question would benefit four kinds of people: the questioner, the teacher, the listener and those who love all three.
Taftaazaaney wrote that using questions from both the teacher and the student is a remarkable way to achieve knowledge because "it will remain in their hearts in the most efficient of ways for the achievement of a thing after searching for it is more precious to the heart than that which it achieves without effort"
Ibn Al-Qayyim also spoke about this method and remarked that knowledge is attained through six steps and that asking the right questions was the first.
We ask Allah to show us the way to Jannah.

Questions & Answers about Tawheed
Why has Allah created us?
Allah created us for the greatest of blessings that is to be close to Him through giving 'Ebaadah to Him alone without attributing to Him a partner, a rival or an equal.
Dhaareyaat 56-58: And I (Allah) created not the Jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone and no one else) I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures)
Ibn Al-Qayyim wrote: Allah informed that He created them solely for 'Ebaadah and that He only sent his messengers and descended his books upon them so that they may worship Him, 'Ebaadah is the ultimate purpose for which they were created.
Having said this, Allah does not need 'Ebaadah:
وَقَالَ مُوسَى إِنْ تَكْفُرُوا أَنْتُمْ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ
Ibrahim 8: And Musa (Moses) said: "If you disbelieve you and all on earth together, then verily! Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), Owner of all Praise.
Ibn 'Ataa' wrote: What has he lost, he who has found you and what has he gained, he who lost you.
The universe is in a deep state of 'Ebaadah and for a human being to be truly happy and essentially at peace he must not swim against the current of the creation of Allah that praises Allah and testifies to his unity, going against this current can only result in covering the universal truth inside a man and outside him (the act of Kufr) and will undoubtedly create a state of deep insecurity while being aware of Allah is the only truly safe place for a heart to be as Allah informed us in the Surah that bears the name of thunder, a phenomenon that had always scared man:
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
Ra'd 28: Those who believe (in Tawheed), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest
Ibn Taymeya wrote: Know that the need of a man for Allah, his need to worship Allah alone with no partner cannot be compared to any other need; however it resembles in some ways the body's need for nourishment, however, there are many differences:
The essence of a man is his heart and soul and these can never be at peace except with their Ilaah, the one who is without partners, the one whose Dhikr is the only way to tranquillity.
And now that you know your purpose after a life of aimless wandering that took you off your natural course, be sure to live the rest of your life for the sake of Allah, giving your worship, your life and your death to Him alone.
What is 'Ebaadah? (عِبادَة)
Those who wish to escape Jahannam and experience Jannah must understand the reason that Allah spread the seed of Adam upon the earth for and have intimate knowledge of the task He entrusted them with.
'Ebaadah in Arabic means humility (الذُّلُّ), obedience (الطَّاعَة) and loyalty (الوَلاَء).
Azzajjaaj wrote: 'Ebaadah is obedience with humility; we say a Mu'abbad camel and we mean: a camel that is easy in giving obedience and smoothly controlled.
Note: In Arabic, many words mean a thing and its opposite at the same time, 'Abd means both "humbly obedient" and "honoured" this tells us that those who have 'Ubudeyah to Allah are in a state of honour and nobility:
Anbeyaa' 26: And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or children)." Glory to Him! They [those whom they call children of Allah i.e. the angels, 'Iesa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), 'Uzayr (Ezra), etc.], are but honoured slaves
Ibn Taymeya wrote in Al-'Ubudeyah: The perfection of a man is in attaining 'Ubudeyah for Allah; the more 'Ubudeyah a man attains, the more complete his own excellence will be and the higher his honour.
He also wrote: the happiest are those with the most 'Ubudeyah for Allah.
In Islam, 'Ebaadah is all of the beliefs and acts that Allah told us He loved and demanded of us, these beliefs and acts must be done in complete humility and love for Allah.
This was taken from the famous definition was written by Ibn Taymeya in his beautiful essay Al-'Ubudeyah; however, there are other worthy definitions:
Tabarey defines it as such: It is to be for Allah compliantly obedient and peacefully humble.
Qadhey Abu Ya'laa wrote: 'Ebaadah is the acts that occur for Allah in the most humble and compliant of ways and not as men comply and humble themselves for one another.
Ibn Al-Qayyim defines it in the most efficient of ways as he commented on the verse: It is you whom we worship:
It is to truly be and truly do what Allah and his messenger love and are pleased with; whether it is by the speech of the tongue, the speech of the heart and by the actions of the heart and limbs.
'Ubudeyah is a term that represents all these four levels and those who are truly the people of "It is you whom we worship" are the people who go through these levels.
The speech of the heart is to believe all that Allah told us of himself, his names and attributes, his angels and our meeting with him on the tongues of his messengers.
An example of the actions of the heart is to have love for Him, to rely on him, Enaabah for him (the E'tikaaf of the heart or the permanent return of the heart to Him) to fear him and have hope for His mercy and generosity, to purify your intentions for Him, to have patience on his orders, prohibitions and His plans for you.
We can mention examples of the actions of the limbs like Salaat, Jihaad, helping the disabled, being good to the creation and so forth.

Beware then, O reader, of those who have attempted to trick the people into thinking that 'Ebaadah is Sujuud, Rukuu', Seyaam, Hajj and the likes of these outward rituals.
'Ebaadah is a state of mind and body in which the 'Aabid (the worshipper) lives his/her life doing all that Allah loves day in and day out.
Some of those who do not understand this are heard saying: does this mean that you want us to remain in a Masjid all day and not care for our families and not work?
This is a typical reaction to the Deen from those who believe 'Ebaadah is Salaat and seclusion in order to perform rituals; if they understood that Allah revealed to us that caring for one's family and even feeding one's wife with his own hand is beloved to Him, they would not say that.
And if they understood Allah's orders about work and cultivating the earth and making it habitable, they would not say that; then again, maybe they would.
Others more unfortunate people who understood 'Ebaadah to be a set of specific outward rituals would give these forms of 'Ebaadah to Allah alone, however, because they do not know that the 'Ebaadah of Nahr (sacrifice) is a 'Ebaadah of Allah, they give it to a Peer or a Waley.
They do not know that Tahaakum (going for judgement) is a matter that Allah demands for himself exclusively and they give it to the courts of man made laws.
They do not know that obedience of the laws of Allah is a must in the Deen of Allah and that Allah demands it, so, they speak of "obedience and respect of the law of the land"
These are the people who will hate you and discriminate against you when you declare that Shirk is the proper name of these actions that they do and then you shall be called such names as Takfeerey, Wahhaabey, extremist, terrorist or any of the names that the prophets and their followers have been receiving ever since they declared their disassociation from Shirk and the Mushrikeen and for this, I congratulate you, also, Sabr upon this is also a 'Ebaadah.
When 'Ebaadah is mentioned in Islam, this general meaning is summoned:
The 'Ebaadah of Du'aa (which was described by the prophet as: Du'aa is the 'Ebaadah, just as he described Hajj to be 'Arafa, defining it by its most important example; the Hadeeth in which the prophet is supposed to have said: Du'aa is the bone marrow of 'Ebaadah is weak )
The 'Ebaadah of Allah with Seyaam, Nadhr (vows) and pilgrimage
The 'Ebaadah of Allah with love and hatred for His sake
The 'Ebaadah of Allah with Jihaad
The 'Ebaadah of Allah with fear and with reliance on him (Tawakkul) Thinking and speak about Him (Dhikr) meditating about his words and his creation (Tafakkur) and trusting in Him (Thiqa Billah)
The 'Ebaadah of Allah with Du'aa (supplication) and Rajaa' (hope in his generosity and forgiveness)
The 'Ebaadah of Allah with obedience and compliance to Him alone
The 'Ebaadah of Allah in Tahaakum (going for judgement to Him alone)
and all that was demanded from us or that which Allah expressed his love for.
These were all either demanded of us directly or revealed to be acts that Allah loved and therefore they are all forms of 'Ebaadah.
In Surah Al-Bayyinah Allah mentions all of 'Ebaadah then singles out other specific forms of 'Ebaadah then tells us that all of these acts that please Him are the right Deen.
Al-Bayyinah 5: And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakaat: and that is the right religion.
He also says:
قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (162) لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ (163)
An'aam 162-163: Say (O Muhammad): "Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the 'Aalameen (all that exists) "He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.
Ibn Al-Jawzey comments: the meaning is to tell them that all of my actions and speech is for Allah alone and not for others as you do, you who ascribe partners with Him.
Notes on 'Ebaadah:
*Those who are too proud to worship Allah fall, by principle, in the 'Ebaadah of others, Ibn Taymeya wrote: our observation leads us to believe that the more pride a man has in regards to the 'Ebaadah of Allah the deeper he shall be in Shirk, this happens because the more pride a man has in regards to the worship of Allah the more he shall feel the need for Him.
*Ibn Al-Qayyim wrote: the Ubudeyah of the heart is greater than the 'Ubudeyah of the limbs and is stronger and more resilient, it is Waajib in all times.
This is ignored by most people, they do not realise that the outward rituals are bodies that need souls to become alive.
Ibn Taymeya wrote: if the heart (the one who is the king of the body) is in chains, humble and compliant to other than Allah then this is

So how is your relationship with Allah?
As humans we have 3 distinct relationships: 1. with ourselves (sleep, call of nature, morals etc), 2. with others (marriage, business, etc) and 3. with our belief (rituals, creator, paradise etc)
For a rational thinker he/she will come to know that his/her relationship with his/her belief is the most important since this also impacts, determines and regulates the other two. In fact he/she will learn that this also satisfies the worshipping instinct and achieves a spiritual value that the other two cannot.
And as the correct and truthful belief is the Islamic belief, this means the relationship with Allah SWT is the most important and essential relationship. And like all relationships its strength is actualised by its quality of mutual understanding and constancy.
This relationship manifest in its purity of aqaaid (creedal concepts) and constancy in ibadah (ritual worship).
Now if the believer is unmindful of this relationship eg he/she wants to just get over his/her prayer, he/she puts hope on Kuffar and their laws, becomes stingy in his/her sadaqah, sense of pride in having ilm, etc then every other relationship will have an adverse affect. He/she will soon leave the da'wah, become obsessed about the dunya and his/her relationship with Allah will begin to fade away, he/she will return back to a jahaliyyah worse than before and be upon the brink of kufr!
Hence it goes without saying, the one who understands his/her aqaa'id eg tawheed, tawakkul Allah, hubbulllah wa rasool, nasr min Allah, inil hukmu lilla lillah, taqwa Allah etc and has constancy and constant in his/her ibadah eg salah, sadaqah, tilawah al quran, tawbah, dhikr etc and as this impacts on the other two relationships then he/she has hope to reach the highest personality of the likes this world has witnessed in other than the prophets ie like amongst the companions of the prophets (as) (eg the sahaba (ra)).
And truly we should hope to be them or be amongst them since these individuals are even present today.
It is authentically reported that Rasulullah (saws) said, "In every age (qarnee) of my Ummah are Saabiqoon." [silsilah, al-albani]
