"ارے او دشمن انساں ! یہ کیا کر رے ہو..؟" شیطان نے سر اٹھا کر دیکھا اور اپنا کام جاری رکھتے ہوئے بولا.. "دیکھتے نھیں حضرت انسانوں کو قابو کرنے کے لیے پھندے تیار کر رہاہوں.." ان حضرت نے پوچھا.. "یہ کیسے پھندے ہیں کچھ موٹے کچھ ہلکے..؟" شیطان نے جواب دیا.. "پھندے ان لوگوں کے لیے ہیں جو شیطان کی باتوں میں نہیں آتے.. لہذامختلف قسم کے پھندے تیار کرنے پڑتے ہیں.. کچھ خوشنما' کچھ موٹے' کچھ باریک.." ان حضرت کے دل میں تجسس پیدا ہوا.. پوچھا.. "کیا میرے لیے بھی کوئی پھندا ہے..؟" شیطان نے سر اٹھا کر مسکراتے ہوئے کہا.. "آپ علم والوں کے لیے مجھے پھندے تیار نہیں کرنے پڑتے.. آپ لوگوں کو تو میں چٹکیوں میں گھیر لیتا ہوں.. علم کا تکبر ہی کافی ہے آپ لوگوں کو پھانسے کے لیے.." ان حضرت نے حیران ہو کر پوچھا.. "پھر یہ موٹے پھندے کس کے لیے ہیں..؟" شیطان نے کہا.. "موٹے پھندے اخلاق والوں کے لیے ہیں جنکے اخلاق اچھے ہیں.. ان پر قابو پانا مشکل ہوتا ہے.. اسی لیے حدیث شریف میں ہے کہ اعمال میں سب سے زیادہ وزنی چیز اخلاق ہوگا.." الله ہم سب کو بہترین اخلاق والا بنا دے.
