"We were banned almost the moment we were established. Our members have been persecuted without end, boiled to death, had their nails ripped out, limbs ripped from hyper-extension, bones broken, genitals cut off and stuffed in their mouths then their heads cut off, electrocuted, and all of the worst forms of torture and oppression you can possibly imagine over the past 60 years. I have met so many great men who faced such torture, and they didn't stop for a minute. Many of them are in their 60s and 70s now, or older, and they are just as dedicated and fearless as they were in their teens. Shaykh Taqiuddin was tortured so severely that half his body was paralyzed before his death. Those who were tortured with him said that he never screamed or even made a sound during the torture, because he refused to give them any satisfaction, and this caused his paralysis. They said "the walls would scream, but Shaykh Taqi wouldn't." You young and inexperienced brothers who mock the Hizb know nothing of what the Ummah was like in the 50s and 60s. You know nothing of the real absence of Islam from people's lives. Hajj saw a few hundred people. The governments ruled with the worst form of iron fist and the people loved them and their Socialist, Bathist, or whatever-ist Kufr ideologies. The people mocked the idea of a Khilafah entirely, en masse. When Shaykh Taqiuddin gave a Khutbah (sermon) that the Palestinian problem is actually an Islamic problem, the scholars in the congregation mocked him and walked out. You brothers know nothing about what it was like to carry these ideas back then. You have it easy now, with most people accepting most of the ideas, and just some disagreement is left on the method. We (and others working like us) laid down this entire road with our blood and body parts, and you brothers can now enjoy a discussion arena that is filled with acceptance for the majority of what you call for. Even with the uprisings in the Muslim lands, the tyrants are too scared to be too oppressive to the people out of fear of an uprising against them. I saw this with my own eyes in Jordan. The passport check there was usually one of the most frightening experiences for any da'wa carrier to have to go through. Now, you can see Iman in the faces of the men who work at the airport. What do you mean what would we do? What we *have* done is the same thing that the Messenger of Allah (saw) and the Sahaba (ra) did when they were attacked. We continue discussing with people, and seeking Nusrah. This is how an obedient slave of Allah (swt) acts. Not responds with impatience, and with insolence towards those who have laid down the path that you now stand on so comfortably. We have not feared, and do not fear what anyone might do to us for our call. This is the greatest call any human being can be honored with, and the Help of Allah (swt) is not cheap. If the Messenger of Allah (saw) and the Sahaba (ra) had to go through what they went through, who are we to expect anything less?"
