Das Fasten an diesen Tagen ist besonders beliebt und wird Yaum al-Qiyama von Nutzen sein, wenn der Abd vor Allaah ta'ala steht und seine Taten vorlegen muss. Auch sind die Tage des Fastens eines der ehrenvollen Zeitpunkte, in denen das aufrichtige Bittgebet von Allah angenommen wird, so sollte ein Muslim die Chance ergreifen und Allah vermehrt bitten. Bitten für ihn, für seine Eltern, und für all die Muslimiin und vor allem für unsere Geschwister in Not! Denn ein Engel antwortet; "Amin, mögest du das selbe erhalten". (Sahih Muslim) Abu Sa'id al-Khudriy (ra) Der Gesandte Allâhs, sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam sagte: "Wer einen Tag freiwillig und nur Allah zuliebe fastet, dessen Angesicht hält Allâh wegen dieses Tages vom Höllenfeuer mit einem Abstand fern, der in siebzig Jahren zurückzulegen ist." (Sahih Muslim) Abu Dharr (ra): "Der Gesandte Allahs sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam sagte zu mir: „Wenn du einen Teil des Monats fastest, so faste am dreizehnten, vierzehnten und fünfzehnten"" (Ahmad, an-Nasaai and at-Tirmidhi) Abu Hurayra (ra) sagt: "Mein liebster Freund (Muhammad sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) hat mir drei Dinge ans Herz gelegt, die ich niemals unterlassen werde, bis ich sterbe: – das Fasten dreier Tage in jedem Monat, – das Verrichten des Duha-Gebets* – und erst zu Bett zu gehen nach dem Verrichten des Witr-Gebets**." (Bukhari) * ( dt.: Vormittag) Ein freiwilliges Gebet am Vormittag, dass in der Zeit zwischen Sonnenaufgang und Mittagsgebet verrichtet wird und aus einer geraden Anzahl von Rak3a von zwei bis zwölf besteht. ** (dt.: ungerade Zahl) Ein freiwilliges Gebet, dass zwischen dem Nacht- und Morgengebet mit einer ungeraden Zahl von Rak3a verrichtet wird. Sahl Ibn Sa'd, (ra) berichtete: Der Gesandte Allahs sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam sagte: „Es gibt im Paradies ein Tor, das Ar-Rayyaan heisst, durch das die Fastenden am Tag der Auferstehung eintreten werden, und kein anderer außer ihnen wird hindurch eintreten. (An jenem Tag) wird ausgerufen: Wo sind die Fastenden? Da treten sie durch es ein. Wenn der letzte von ihnen eintritt, wird das Tor geschlossen, und danach tritt keiner mehr durch dieses ein."
